Are there any library resources I can use if I do not want to come into the library?
Yes. The Herrin City Library added curbside pickup starting Monday, May 18, 2020. Read the Curb Side Service Page for more information. The Library provides a wide array of digital offerings, including eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks for borrowing on our Cloud Library app, RBdigital app and our databases. Find our electronic resources page here. Find our databases: General One File and Testing & Education Reference Center here. You can also browse Herrin High School Yearbooks here. What if my items are due? Will I accrue late fees?
The due dates for all checked-out circulating materials have been extended to one week after we reopen. No late fees should accrue on materials that were originally due during the closure period. You do not need to call the library to renew. We are automatically renewing all items and waiving all late fees incurred during the closure.
Can I drop off my materials in outdoor book drops?
The outdoor book drop is open. Please return all items in the outdoor book return. Indoor book returns are closed.
Why can’t I place new holds through the catalog?
Update: Holds from other libraries have been turned back on.
My library card is about to expire. How can I renew?
All accounts nearing their expiration dates in March and April will be renewed until June of this year.
I have a question about my account? Is there anyone that can help me?
If you have any questions about your account or how to access digital resources please call us at the library at 618-942-6109 or email the library at herrincitylibrary@gmail.com.
Important Notice: We will not be taking donations of any kind through August 15, 2020. Please check the website or call the library to find out if donations are allowed after the indicated date.
